Burritos and Sanchos for Child Advocacy and Parenting Services

Child Advocacy and Parenting Services check presentation at The Original Grande

Break out the chips and salsa, it’s time to celebrate! JRI Hospitality has had a fiesta-worthy few months since The Original Grande officially opened its Salina restaurant in late March. Even better than that, their campaign to raise funds for Child Advocacy and Parenting Services (CAPS) had an overwhelming response. We can’t think of a better way to kick off The Original Grande’s new location than by serving up bold flavors and smiling faces while also making a difference. Read our blog post to learn more about the event details.

Grande for a Good Cause

Throughout the month of March, 10% of all burrito and sancho sales at The Original Grande Salina were donated directly to CAPS. All those customer orders added up, and they raised a total of just under $2,500 to assist in funding this organization’s important work.

Our CEO and JRI Hospitality founder, Jason Ingermanson, said it best. “We’re very pleased to help CAPS serve local residents through our grand opening celebration. Salina is our hometown, and it is gratifying to do our part to make the community a better place.”

Child Advocacy and Parenting Services

The Original Grande knows what a valuable resource CAPS is in the Salina area, so it was an easy decision on who to partner with for the grand opening giving program. Child Advocacy and Parenting Services provides a safe place to learn, grow and stay healthy for every family at every stage in life. CAPS is dedicated to improving children’s lives and strengthening families through education, advocacy and support.

What’s Next for The Original Grande?

The fiesta isn’t over. There is a lot to look forward to from The Original Grande in the coming year.

Customers can expect to see more of the great ingredients and tasty flavors they’ve come to enjoy in all our menu items. There’ll also be other events and opportunities for outreach in the future. The JRI Hospitality focus on giving doesn’t end here.

A HUGE thanks to all the Southwestern food fans and, of course, the CAPS organization for making this campaign possible. Burritos + Community = LOVE!
