A Successful Event for Wichita’s Littlest Heroes

Wichita's Littlest Heroes check presentation at Mokas Cafe

We’ve got great news to share! JRI Hospitality’s Mokas Cafe located in the Delano District of Wichita officially opened in late February to much excitement and community response. Even better than that, their partnership to raise funds for Wichita’s Littlest Heroes was a huge success. We can’t think of a better way to kick off Mokas Cafe Wichita than by serving quality coffee and tasty food while also giving back. Keep reading to learn more about the event details.

Coffee for a Cause

During the first month post grand opening, 10% of all 16 and 20 ounce specialty hot drink sales at Mokas Wichita were donated directly to Wichita’s Littlest Heroes. Together with local customers, Mokas Cafe raised a total of $1,900 for this super-powered organization.

“Contributing to the community is part of our DNA and the work this organization is doing to support children fighting medical conditions is extremely important,” said Jason Ingermanson, founder and CEO of JRI Hospitality.

Wichita’s Littlest Heroes

When Mokas Cafe set out to choose a partner for the grand opening giving campaign, they didn’t need to look far. Wichita’s Littlest Heroes is a nonprofit that encourages and supports medically fragile children who are battling different life-threatening health conditions or diseases. Their free events and parties give “Hero kids and their families a chance to celebrate and have fun with others who can relate to their struggles.”

What’s Next for Mokas Cafe?

Now that Mokas Cafe is a Delano District staple, what can customers expect going forward?

They’ll of course be serving up more of their freshly brewed coffee options as well as the delicious menu of breakfast, wraps, salads, and pastries the city has come to enjoy. Wichita residents can also be on the lookout for future Mokas Cafe outreach opportunities and events. The JRI Hospitality focus on giving doesn’t end here.

A HUGE thanks to all the coffee lovers and, of course, the Heroes that made this campaign possible. Our cups are full!
