Supporting Salina – Salina Art Center

JRI Hospitality pledged $75,000 to the Salina Art Center to support the development of a culinary arts kitchen as part of the Building Creativity capital campaign.

The Salina Art Center, Inc. is a nonprofit, non-collecting contemporary art and education center incorporated in 1978 in Salina, Kansas. The Art Center’s mission is to “create exchanges among art, artists, and audiences that reveal life”. The Art Center carries out its mission through outreach programs designed to provide community members with meaningful experiences through active encounters with viewing and making visual art.

The culinary arts kitchen design by JGR Architects is part of the public gallery that’s currently under construction at the Salina Art Center. This gallery space will provide the opportunity to explore art through exhibitions and to build new revenue streams as a rental space for small events downtown, educational workshops, culinary arts programming, and more.

“We are honored to contribute to the Salina Art Center and help foster the interest of art and food in our community. We are committed equally to our community and to creating memorable experiences through food” says Jason Ingermanson, founder and CEO of JRI Hospitality. The Salina Art Center donors are investing $1.3 million in external and internal renovations and infrastructure enhancements to improve accessibility, safety, visibility, and engagement by reimagining public spaces and elevating member experiences.
