Salina Country Club Supports University Golf and Tennis Program with $40,000 Donation

JRI Hospitality presenting a check to the University for their golf and tennis program

The Salina Country Club has been a landmark for the Salina community for over 100 years. Another prominent institution in our town is Kansas Wesleyan University, where people gain the experience needed for a bright future. Recently, The Salina Country Club and its parent company, JRI Hospitality, have made a $40,000 donation to the university’s incredible golf and tennis programs.

Kansas Wesleyan University and its Golf and Tennis Program

Kansas Wesleyan University is a student-centered, community-focused institution that offers academic experiences in a welcoming environment. It offers a wide range of academic paths, like Art and Design, English, History, Social Work, and many more.

One area the university takes a great deal of pride in is its tennis and golf programs. Recently, their tennis program was the recipient of several honors both nationally and at the Kansas Conference level. Additionally, the golf program won their respective Kansas Conference championships, and both gold teams represented the Coyotes at the 2021 NAIA golf championship.

What The University’s Golf and Tennis Program Means to The Salina Country Club

Not only are we fans of our town’s university teams, but we have a strong relationship with them. Their golf and tennis teams frequently practice and play their home matches at The Salina Country Club. We’ve seen these incredible athletes achieve tremendous things and we’re excited to see where they go.

Our Donation is Part of Our JRI Cares Initiative

One thing JRI Hospitality strives for is to support the communities in which we operate. We’re incredibly grateful to our customers for welcoming us to their cities.  As a token of our appreciation, we try to give back as much as possible. Between donating food and money as well as providing time and labor to physical projects, we take pride in helping when we can.

The donation to Kansas Wesleyan University’s golf and tennis program is only a fragment of our appreciation for the institution.
